Our Mission

The Chamber Project is an interscholastic organization that transforms student musicians into community ambassadors. We bring high-quality chamber music performances to underserved communities throughout Wisconsin, including underfunded schools and senior care facilities.

Through our programs, we provide educational workshops to schools that lack robust music programs, while also delivering uplifting live concerts to nursing homes and senior communities. Our student musicians gain invaluable performance experience while making a meaningful difference in their communities.

What is Chamber Music?

Chamber music is classical music composed for a small group of instruments—traditionally small enough to fit in a palace chamber. Unlike orchestral music, each musician plays a unique part, creating an intimate conversation between instruments.

Fun Fact
This piece was written for the unusual combination of violin, viola, and two cellos. The warm double-cello sound gives it a distinctively romantic character.
